Recently more and more companies are carrying out human rights due diligence to assess the risks in their supply chain. In my research I applied these due diligence criteria to the human right for a living wage. I assessed which steps business must take to fulfil their due diligence on living wage.
Innovative ways are needed to make progress on better wages and work in garment producing countries. Global brands are invited to enter into national collective bargaining processes or global framework agreements to find solutions with social partners.
